Sculpture Collections in Early Modern Spain

Firmly grounded in archival research, Sculpture Collections in Early Modern Spain transforms our knowledge regarding the presence of sculpture in the country during the period, which until now has been erroneously characterized as close to nonexistent. This study reveals the importance of sculpture as a status symbol among nobles.
